Shared FATE Stock Act

The Shared FATE Stock Act (Federal Actors Trading Equities) aims to strictly limit stock trading among Members of Congress (MoC) and Federal Employees (FE), who often have insider knowledge. Unlike the private sector, insider trading laws don't fully apply to MoC and FE, creating an ethical gray area. ONE SIDE calls out that limited pay for government jobs justifies stock trading as a financial supplement. THE OTHER SIDE puts forth that stock trading can distract from public service duties. The act proposes federal employees' trades be long-held in retirement accounts and make up the FATE index for up to 25% of the Social Security Fund to invest. This aims to have all American workers have the same shared FATE as federal actors. PolicyKeys IS A REAL-LIFE ROLE-PLAYING GAME. Let’s get horizontal, Politics 4.0 makes strange bedfellows

Turn your phone and your perspective horizontally
Widen your views, literally and figuratively
Politics is a landscape not a self-portrait
You’ll need both your left and right thumbs
Widen your views — left and right
Let’s knock down some figurative silos
Let’s sit on the 50 yard line, not just one end zone
